Hello again!

I started this blog several years ago when I first decided to try and grow my own veg. That particular endeavour didn't work out according to plan so both the blog and the veg growing were abandoned.

Roll on to 2021 and I've decided to have another go at vegetable growing, and I've restarted my blog so I can record my progress.

I'm planning on growing most of my veg in raised beds using the square foot gardening method and I'm also experimenting with straw/hay bale gardening using an old hay bale I found in the shed.

I got himself to make me two raised beds and placed cardboard underneath them as a weed barrier. 

Then I filled both with a mixture of homemade compost, soil & potting compost. 

My beds are approximately 6 foot x 3 foot so I got himself to divide them into 1 foot square sections to make it easier for me to plant using the square foot method.
